Mittens
I started the red and white mittens I was thinking about for some days. I decided I want them to be really warm. I usually wear gloves with mittens on top of them. So I figured I could make lined mittens, so I have two less items to lose when it's cold!

For inspiration, I used a mitten from The Mitten Book by Inger and Ingrid Gottfridsson. I'm using sock yarn, Scheepjes Invicta. First, I used 2.5mm dpns, but when I almost had reached the decreases for the tip, I decided it was turning out too small, if I was going to put a lining in. Frogging I went....
So now I'm using 3mm needles for the outer mittens. I made the cuff extra long, so my wrists will be warm too. The weather over here is still much too warm for this time of year, but I heard temperatures will drop next week. As long as it doesn't rain, I don't mind!

Oh my! you are a fantastic knitter! I'm so inspired. I'm just beginning, but I love it. I live in a small town in Georgia, USA. We've just started a knitting group here. One of the ladies is a very gifted knitter. She brought some items for "show & tell", one of which was your noro hat. It was a hit with the group and we all wanted the pattern! She said she got it off the net and to google "noro hat" or your name. I've found your web site, but the link to your hat pattern goes to: http://members.chello.nl/admin/leeg.html and I can't figure out how to navigate from there. Would you be able to help me, please? I love this hat! Thanks! I've bookmarked your site, so I'll see what you're up to next.
All the best to you,
Sharon
