Brrrrrrr......

Thanks everyone for your kind words about my Herringbone Gloves! I like them too, and they're so comfortable and warm. Although at the moment, I wear them with a pair of mittens over them, because: Brrr, it's so cold over here! Well, relatively speaking of course. I know there are places where it's mutch colder than the -8°C we're having tonight. Still, I'm glad the Herringbones are finished and I'm wearing my Norwegian stockings:

I made them some years ago. The pattern is from Folk Socks by Nancy Bush. I'm not sure of the name, and I don't have the book with me so I can't check.

The stockings are very comfortable and they only slide down very slowly. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to sit next to the warm stove and knit on my Mermaid!

Wow, your stockings are beautiful! I have them on this year's project list and am hoping they are as much of a joy to make as they are to look at.

Since my book is handy I checked the name, and it is Norwegian Stockings. If you don't mind my asking, what yarn did you use for these?

Your knitting is so beautiful! I love the gloves and stockings - its wonderful work. I wish it was a bit colder here, my warm knitted items are too warm. Its been about 18°C for the last couple of weeks!

I'm a new knitter, but learning fast and hoping to start a pair of Norwegian socks soon. I plan to make them longer, so they come up well above the calf, right below the knee where the leg diameter is smaller than at mid-calf. Maybe this will help them stay up better.

Your knitting is gorgeous and your website is one of my favorite places to visit on the web.

Great socks. I've seen those all over the web recently. That's one reason to purchase the book, what are the other patterns like?

Prachtig!

Groet!
