Spring is here!
I've been doing a lot of knitting on the Inky-dinky Spider Stole. It's slow going! But at least a pattern is emerging.

My estimate is I've done about 5% now. Sigh.... ;-)
Ajoursteek asked: And what's your opinion about laceknitting sofar? I'm trying and trying, but frogging is my middlename when you talk about laceknitting....
Well, so far, I like it! It's totally different from other knitting in that you won't see the full result until you're completely finished. In this pattern, there is lace shaping on every row, so you really have to pay attention. No mindless knitting, and the markers do help a lot.
I'm so glad the clock has been changed to summer time! Now we get daylight until 8 pm. So when I went to the supermarket this evening, I had the chance to take a picture of this lovely statue I pass on the way.

I've always liked it, it looks so young and fresh. And now with all the crocuses in bloom, it's just the image of Spring!

This weekend, I was in a Spring mood already. When I saw the book Designs for Kids [Breien voor kleine boefjes] by Lucinda Guy in a shop, I was inspired by the knitted flowers in it. I didn't buy the book (yet), but I made my own version of the flowers.

Happy Spring!

The statue is really pretty with the way the moss is growing up the side of the base. And I like your flowers!

It all looks so nice and springy out there. I really like the knit flowers. Very cute indeed. Can you post a pattern or maybe just some sort of an overview of what you've done? We still have lots of snow here in Finland, but the days are longer and sunnier. Spring is just around the corner, I'm sure.
And I'm positive that the inky-dinky-spider stole will be worth the trouble, even if it's a lot of work. At least knitting lace doesn't get boring as easily as plain stocinette and such. Have you seen Eunny's lace school at http://www.eunnyjang.com/knit/? Eunny rocks, when it comes to knitting lace.

The shawl looks beautiful so far! I'm ditto-ing kaisakaisa's request for a pattern or hints for the knitted flowers. They are so sweet!

Have you been bitten by the lace bug too? It can be *quite* addicting, you know :) I get bogged down sometimes in the knitting process, but when I see the lace blocked and transformed, I'm eager for more.
The crocuses are lovely! They add so much charm to the street.

I've discovered lace knitting as well and love it. Isn't it addictive? I can't believe your first project is so complicated. Wait until it's all blocked-you'll be in love.
Your flowers are so cute. Do you have a pattern to share??

Uw bloemen zijn heel moei! Dat is een hele goed idee!

Fabulous flowers! Another request for a pattern (although I could probably figure them out myself - is that p2, k2 for the blue part? What did you use for the -whatchamacallit- 'meeldraden'?
Also admiration for that wonderful shawl. I do not have the patience for a compelete shawl...

Cute flowers. I love all the pictures. I think about the crumpled wad of lace I have in the ufo bag all the time. Seeing all the wonderful lace makes feel like getting it out.

I simply love your flowers! I want to knit some of my own soon - I'm anxiously waiting for Nicky Epstein's new book on knitted flowers.

It's nice to see something blooming! (Your version also looks great.) I'm really looking forward to seeing it firsthand.

All three, lace, foal, flowers, inspiring. Thanks!
(I love that book too)

That's such a great statue! There are some great ones in Groningen that I love--one of a father teaching his daughter to ride a bicycle as he runs along behind her, and another of a boy sitting on the back of an elephant (that one's a fountain).
