Let the cold weather come!

It is still *looking* like Fall, around here, but it *feels* like Summer all over again. You can't tell from these pictures, but it is actually 25 C [77 F] right now. I must have looked very interesting, sitting outside wearing gloves.

Yes, they're done. I'm very happy with the way they turned out. The camel yarn is a tiny bit scratchy, but I like that for gloves.

This is what the palm side looks like. I don't think these gloves will get a lot of daily wear, they'd be dirty after one bicycle ride to the train station (imagine closing a rusty bicycle lock wearing these snowy white gloves). I will probably save them for those Sunday winter walks (if we ever take those).

Some weeks ago, I got a comment from Marja. She went to Norway on vacation and she visited Annemor Sundbø's shop in Bygland. Of course you know Annemor is the writer of three very interesting books on traditional Norwegian knitting. How I envy Marja! Her visit sounds so lovely. There is a shop and an exhibition of knitted things Annemor saved from the ragpile. I really want to go there someday... But look what Marja brought back for me:

A beautiful card with gloves and mittens from the exhibition and a pattern for wrist warmers. Thank you so much, Marja and Annemor!

Mooie breiwerken maakt Annemor! Haar prijs is verdiend!

Your gloves are absolutely stunning. The white yarn shows off the pattern perfectly.

Your gloves are beautiful. I haven't tried knitting gloves yet, only mittens. I've a couple patterns for gloves though, and I plan on trying them sometime.

The gloves look fabulous! I also love the homemade card. I think that photo cards are excellent!

Those gloves are lovely. Once again your knitting is really exquisite and so neat. I like the wrist wamer pattern and the card with all the mittens.

I had a day in London yesterday and it was boiling hot. I'm looking forward to some crisp Autumn mornings - hopefully.

what great gloves! I too have the pulrvarmere pattern and have knitted it several times - it's a winner! I met the author at Aoolfest in Cockermouth (UK) last year.

Such beautiful gloves! Maybe you need a hard-wearing pair, too, in a sturdier yarn. :-)

I love the card! Very inspiring.

These gloves are just beautiful - can you tell me where to find this pattern - I just have to knit some for myself!!

Lovely gloves! I made a pair of these in wine colour last year. But I actually don't need gloves too much! ;)

Bedankt.
