Doll

Thanks for welcoming me back. I didn't stop knitting during my blogging hiatus, so I will show you some of the things I made over the next weeks.

However, I'm starting with one of the other crafts I enjoy: sewing. A while ago, I made this doll for me my daughter.

I used the Kit, Chloe and Louise pattern by Wee Wonderfuls. Such a wonderful pattern and not difficult at all, even for a relatively inexperienced sewer like me..

Lotte even plays with her sometimes. Here, she's reading her a book.

The book she's reading is one of her favorites at the moment: Gonnie en Gijsje, or Gossie and Gertie, a cute little book about two goslings.

I'm so happy with the way the (still nameless) doll turned out!

That IS a cute little doll. Thanks for sharing; I'm going to have to go look up that pattern.

And I can't believe how big Lotte has grown already! She's cute as a button, too.

Hallo Saartje,
hartelijke groet, Martine

forgot to mention- Is there anything that you would like from Knit Pics? I am coming to Amsterdam in late September for 3 days and could bring something and mail it to you from Holland.

My daughter sent me your pattern for the bootees about a year ago. She recently had a baby girl and I knit a pair for her. I adjusted your pattern to double point needles, thus eliminating the back seam. Worked well. And they were just darling on her little girl.

I know this doesn't have to do with your most recent post....but I just discovered your site via SouleMama's website. And I browsed through it and discovered a photo of amazing little baby socks that you knit for your daughter and for others (May 2007 post). I have been looking for a cute baby sock pattern and wondered if you would be able to tell me where you found your pattern for a sock or two that you made! I really appreciate your help.

My sister-in-law is from Amsterdam. She and my brother lived in Rotterdam when I visited your beautiful and interesting country. Thank you for making the Noro hat pattern available! I am an unskilled knitter, but I was able to make a beautiful Noro hat for my elderly mother (89 years old). She is of the age to not want any THINGS for a birthday, but she likes wool and the hat looks great on her. Thank you for making that possible.
